Best way to condition your arms for holding a horn…is by holding the horn haha. Hold it up for the duration of a drum corps show and try not to put it to a carry (make that a goal, you probably will the first time and that’s understandable).

Go for it. I’ve marched with plenty of girls who you wouldn’t think could hold up all that metal. It just takes getting used to, as well as some conditioning. Plus, bari/euph girls are badass.
