hey guys!
lol jk, I’m at all-days with no wi-fi and this was queued before I left.
I’ve also queued some of my comics, photosets, and other pics for every couple of days while I’m gone so my blog isn’t completely dead.
Hope everyone’s doing well back in real life!
this took me like 6 times to make because I suck at talking.
but here you go.

Hey man! LOVE your blog :D I noticed that you're in an indoor drumline. Did your group go to WGI championships this year? I'm also thinking about doing a drum corps next summer before my senior year in high school. I was just wondering if that would be a good time to do it or should I wait til after high school?
Hi, thank you!! No, unfortunately we didn’t get to go to Dayton :P I hopefully will get to next season though in a different line.
It’s definitely possible to do drum corps your senior year (TONS of people do it), but you’re gonna have a lot to do and take care of before the summer. If your classes don’t get out before your corps’ move-ins begin, you’re gonna have to find some way to work it out (getting an excuse from your principal, coming to all-days on the weekends, etc). You’re also gonna have to look into when your college’s orientation dates are; most corps don’t like having people leave for that, they’d rather have you get it done before you move-in/begin tour or after you go home.
For me, I didn’t march after my graduation for a few reasons. 1: I didn’t play a brass instrument haha (at least, nowhere near well enough to play in a world class hornline). 2: I had no money to pay for tuition; I didn’t get any of that until after my first year of college with my financial aid refund checks. However, if you do want to, you can talk to my friend DJ who marched after graduation, and I’m sure there are plenty of other marchers on tumblr who participated in DCI right out of high school. Hope this helps! :)
