that must be what it’s like to send your kid off to their first season of drum corps.

at first I was like “omg I can’t wait to have that joy”

then I remembered children are gross and expensive and I don’t want any.

I think my favorite thing about CAQ has been learning all these amazing visuals that I used to think were impossible. Like, things I’d see World Class DCI/WGI cymbal lines do in the lots and be completely baffled by. Now I can watch a video of those lines and say “oh THAT’S what they’re doing,” pick up my plates, and try to recreate it.

It’s been a great season, I have great hopes for the future of the Atlanta Quest cymbal line and I seriously hope I can march again next year. I’ve learned so much but I still have a lot that I’m excited to learn about cymbals. New goal: become a notable person in the cymbals/Kymbos community. It’s gonna take hard work but I’m willing to do that and more.

friendly reminder that not everyone has your back and sometimes there are people in the world who have nothing better to do than talk shit. they’re just unhappy with their lives and are jealous of people who show any signs of happiness or accomplishment. you never have to sink to their levels.

Some of my favorite Youtubers. I wanna be where they are someday. I want my videos to get thousands on thousands (or even millions) of views. I wanna be invited to VidCon. I’m off to a good start I’d say. I’ve started to leave my mark on a certain activity and if I can do that, who knows what else is possible.
